Vinacafe to grow 1,000 ha of coffee in Laos
The Viet Nam Coffee Corporation (Vinacafe) and the Dak Uy Coffee Company of Kon Tum province have reached an agreement with Champassak province of Laos to grow 1,000ha of coffee in Champassak.

The Champassak administration said that the Vinacafe programme to grow coffee in Laos, particularly in Champassak, was within the 2006-2010 economic cooperation programme between the Lao and Vietnamese governments.
Quy further informed that Vinacafe, the Dak Uy Coffee Company and the Champassak province also worked on a programme to build coffee processing establishments and outlets for coffee products.
