Diva from Laos supports slum children in Thailand
Alexandra Bouxouei, 22, a popular singer from Laos who is now studying at Keio University, Japan, visited the biggest slum in Klongtoey, Bangkok in order to deliver the Japanese songs for Thai children and to encourage them to achieve their braves and dreams. Alexandra appears in many Lao and Thai televisions and entertainments .
Apart from her media's activities, she also loves to get herself involved with the social contribution such as the campaigns to fight against drugs and poverty. Alexandra will graduate in September this year and her future dream is to bridge the relationship between Japan and Southeast Asia nations.
At the Klongtoey slam, apart from singing Lao and Thai song, she also sang "The future" of KIRORO, the all time famous Japanese song. Ms. Supatra (11) of Klongtoey elementary school said "I want to be a singer" with her big smile.

What a shame!! and shame on her for doing this. Why in thailand? Lao PDR are much poorer then thailand and she called herself a Laotian? c'mon you can't look down on your own people just to get a personal gain? give me a brake!!! and she expect all Laotian to praise her for this? this is an insult to our own people for posting this and shame on you the webmaster!
I agree, it is odd for her to be doing this in Thailand. Its as if it was a publicity stunt to gain more Thai fans, which means more money for her. Obviously she had good intentions, but they were likely mixed with business I would think.

You said "Give me a brake". I'd say give her a brake...I'm pretty sure she's done a lot with children in Lao too. Most celebrities they love to be part of children no matter where,what country they are. Angelina Jolie adopted kids from all over the world. Why not kids in the US? Opra Winfrey went & built a University in Africa and again why not build one in Chicago her home town? Some time ppl need to broaden their legacy just to gain the recognition and I agreed.

Loot at those kids...look so healthy and doesn't look poor at all. Some more kids look fat that mean they eat good foods. Why she don't come to Laos or other poor nations like in Cambodia or Vietnam?
I think she just doing this by the odered from management team but not her own and can not blem her as well
Anyway, as long as she's doing good things for the social, we salute for her.
Give her a break! It was probably organized by Japanese Ambassy in BKK or Thai Entertainment. I don't think she had done all that by herself.
I know that she involved in fundraising for the blind children in Laos.
She loves kids by telling from her eyes any time she's meeting and talking to them. So many times she involved in fund raising for orphants and poor children in Laos, and now in Thailand.

C'on guys, you all seem to be forgotten that workpoint that signed her. they probably still own the contact while she still schooling in Japan.If workpoint still own her contact, that mean they have the right to sent her anywhere in thailand. as you can see all the kids really look-up to her. we as lao should be pround of her. Don't forget she wasn't even borned in Laos. But, she keep saying she's lao and from Laos. and of course i do completely understand what all of you said.but, when the time come she probably do it for our country and our kids.. Please don't try to jump ship when thing not even happening yet...

This gild is weird; she said she wasn’t to be Lao before, now she will help the children in Thailand, which they are wealthier than Lao children who didn't even have a desk and a bench to sit.
Does it really matter if these kids are Thai? The important thing is that children are being encourage to achieve their dreams. Helping others doesn't mean to only help ourselves.Well at least she's out there doing something positive. We all can't sit here and point fingers....
She might think these children are also Laotian who were foced to be slave about 100 years ago.

The slums of Klong Toey are very bad, I've never seen places that bad in Laos, even in the smallest poorest village when there is little rice. The water under the houses of the slums is horrible with sewage and chemicals.
I don't listen to her music much but I like Alexandra because she seems like such a good ambasador for Lao people everywhere.
